In a recent poll, The Chester Grosvenor & Spa was ranked the best hotel in the UK and the 11th best hotel in the world.

The Duke of Westminster was recently interviewed by the UK paper 'TheTelegraph' regarding his support of the charity Combat Stress and The Enemy Within Appeal.

Family

The businesses and rural estates of the Grosvenor Estate are owned by Trustees for the benefit of the Grosvenor Family.

Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, is head of the family and in 1978 married Natalia Ayesha Phillips. They have four children, Lady Tamara, Lady Edwina, Hugh (Earl Grosvenor) and Lady Viola.

The Duke of Westminster KG CB OBE CD TD DL KstJ is Chairman of the Grosvenor Estate.  He married Natalia Phillips in 1978 and they have one son and three daughters.

He holds the rank of Major General in the Reserve Forces and was the first Reservist officer to be promoted to this rank since before WWII. He is Colonel Commandant of the Yeomanry, Honorary Colonel of the Queen’s Own Yeomanry and Deputy Colonel Commandant of the Army Air Corps.  He is Colonel in Chief of the Royal Westminster Regiment, Canada and a Knight of the Order of St John (KstJ).

The Duke is a member of the Prince's council of the Duchy of Cornwall. He actively supports many charities and organisations and as President or Patron takes a long-term interest in their development and success, including the RNIB, the Country Trust, Changing Faces and St Georges House, Windsor. The Duke also supports military charities, such as the Tank Museum, the Royal British Legion and the Not Forgotten Association. He is First Chancellor of the University of Chester.

The Duke is a countryman and enjoys country sports. He also takes a great deal of interest in rural issues through organisations such as the Atlantic Salmon Trust, the Country Trust and the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
