Various types of tree are found across the Estate including the Oak (Quercus suber), Poplar, and what is commonly referred to as the Strawberry tree. In addition there are many Olive trees, which are harvested.

Alder trees grow in the river valley and one of the most common trees seen on the estate is still Eucalyptus. These were first planted around 1900, to provide support props for commercial mining, an ideal use of timber since eucalyptus wood bends before breaking thereby warning miners of any impending collapse.
