The Grosvenor Hunt - Stubbs

This painting 'The Grosvenor Hunt' is dated 1762 and is possibly Stubbs’ most celebrated composition. The artist depicts a known location on the Eaton Estate.

The Grosvenor family have been collecting art for hundreds of years with one of the most notable acquisitions being that of the Agar Collection in 1808.

The collection is regularly reviewed to ensure that it reflects the tastes of each passing generation whilst acquiring and retaining excellent examples of  18th and 19th century British landscapes, British sporting art, British modern and contemporary art and ceramics, and family portraits.
